Based in our London office; we are currently looking for a Performance and Risk analyst to join our Risk and Performance team on a permanent basis.
 
The role
 
The successful candidate will be working within the Risk and Performance team, the role will involve learning about both Risk and Performance independently and how these link together within Asset Management. As the candidate becomes more proficient, they will become more responsible for growing and developing the position themselves.   • Calculating performance measures for period end reporting. Carrying out performance attribution and adding value where possible

  • Creating detailed fund analysis to support fund managers and sales teams including quantitative reports and competitor analysis

  • Knowledge or previous experience desired with systems including Statpro, Bloomberg and Morningstar

  • Awareness of risk measures, how to interpret risk and the types of risk applicable in funds

  • Assisting fund managers on performance and risk within their portfolios. Interacting with fund managers on a regular basis

  • Respond to ad-hoc queries from various parties within the firm

  • Ensure data accuracy as well as resolving any data issues primarily from Fund Administrators

  • Accurate and timely responses to queries

 
Skills and experience
 
The successful candidate may demonstrate the following:
 

  • Awareness of Performance Attribution 

  • Interest in studying IMC qualification or CFA would be desirable

  • A self-starter, who is ambitious to learn

  • Accuracy and pride in the work is essential

  • A solid mathematical background

  • Good communication skills.  Open and transparent

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (primarily Excel)
