An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Management Accountant to join our Finance team based in our offices in Bristol on a 5 month FTC basis.

The Role

The Finance team provide key decision support for all businesses across the Group including performance reporting, financial planning and analysis & budgeting.
The Senior Management Accountant will support our Life Company and Wealth Management entities with the production of monthly management accounts and regulatory reporting. In addition, the Senior Management Accountant would also support the Life Company Financial Controller with projects affecting these entities on an adhoc basis and assist the wider team with enhancing income and balance sheet reconciliations. 

This role will also support these entities with the reviews of HFM consolidation packs, reviews of first draft accounts, assisting with audit queries and supporting internal relationships.

Key to this role will be your strong work ethic, your excellent attention to detail and ability to build strong relationships with clients both internal and external; to ensure that work produced is completed in a timely and highly accurate manner.
This is a great role for candidates seeking a new challenge within the Financial Services sector (e.g. Wealth Management / Insurance/ Protection) to use their commercial background and expertise to support the business.
Skills and Experience
Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate the following:

  • Experience and knowledge of the technical requirements of IFRS/FRS102

  • Experience of working within a Financial Services environment (Life Insurance preferred)

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work with a high level of accuracy

  • Accountancy qualification or working towards

  • Proficient in Word, Excel
