Paraplanner

Based in Bristol or Fareham or St Asaph, we are currently looking for an Associate Paraplanner to join our Paraplanning team on a permanent basis.
 
The role
 
The paraplanning team work with advisers across the UK to provide in-depth research, analysis and high quality written suitability reports to support financial planning.

  • Timely production of accurate, high quality suitability reports to deliver clear, compliant advice in a client friendly manner within Service Level Agreements.

  • Diligent completion of research and analysis of investment, pension and other financial planning products to assist advisers in formulating appropriate advice strategies, and achieve best client outcomes.

  • Effective management of personal work-flow, utilising our back office system to ensure cases are delivered within Service Level Agreements with comprehensive files for audit/compliance purposes.

  • Manage relationships with advisers via email, phone and face to face communications to assist in the delivery of advice in line with client expectation.

  • Work effectively with compliance and internal/external product managers to ensure appropriate documentation is collated for advice to be delivered in a compliant, client centric manner.

  • Grow and enhance technical knowledge through Continuous Professional Development and self-learning to maintain the department’s status as a centre of technical expertise.

Skills

  • Extensive experience of working for IFA or Wealth planning businesses in a support role

  • Working towards CII Diploma or equivalent level experience

  • Strong analytical and research skills

  • Excellent report writing and written/verbal communication skills

  • Understanding of compliance processes and requirements in a Financial Planning/advice context

  • Good organisational and time management skills

  • A good standard of general education. Where no relevant industry/professional qualifications, degree level as minimum 

  • Experience of Xplan

  • At least 18 months relevant industry experience

  • Knowledge of Pensions and Investment products
