Based in our offices in Bristol we are currently looking for an experienced IT Technical Analyst on a 6m Fixed Term Contract basis with view this being extended by a further 3-6 months dependent on business requirements.  
The role
Working as a team of three; your role will be to provide full 1st to 3rd line technical support to our business with a third of your role proving superb end user support. Based in an open plan office, the ability to multi-task and react quickly to a wide variety of technical requests is essential.
The rest of your responsibilities principally include the optimisation of all components in our IT infrastructure to achieve high availability and performance of the various business applications the team supports. This will include designing, installing, configuring, administering, and fine-tuning operating systems and application components across the organisation in a timely and efficient manner.
This will be a great role for candidates with a solid foundation in windows desktop and server who are looking to develop their VMware experience and networking skills. There’s also scope learn IP telephony and VC system technology.
Skills and experience
Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate the following:

  • Relevant certifications and practical knowledge of operational platforms.

  • Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows servers, and related Windows networks.

  • Experience with the Microsoft Active Directory, setup, and implementation.

  • Technical knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems, Exchange server and SQL server

  • Application support experience with familiarity with DNS and TCP/IP

  • Familiarity with various network protocols, firewall management, and database administration.

  • Strong knowledge of popular Windows PC software

  • Hands-on hardware and software troubleshooting experience.

  • Experience of Video Conference facilities and meeting room support

  • Knowledge of IP Telephony and trouble shooting

  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.

  • Highly self-motivated and directed.

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Keen attention to detail.

  • Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks.

  • Strong customer service orientation.

  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

  • Flexibility (the role holder will also cover our Sevenoaks office and may need to visit other Sanlam offices across the UK and partake in the occasional weekend integration/rollout).
