The role

Working as part of a team of four, your role will be to deliver excellent IT Production (‘Run’) service to all Sanlam UK businesses. The core activities are in ITSM (IT Service Management) as many of the core infrastructure services are provided on an outsourced basis to Sanlam.

You shall ensure high satisfaction from technology services across the UK businesses and look for opportunities to continuously improve services in terms of quality, responsiveness and cost efficiency. In your role you will interact with internal development teams for the provision of development, test and production sites and assist with the transition of new services and changes into production, as well as working with IT Security on cyber and other related prevention measures and incidents. Your team will own the environments used in Sanlam for development through to production and implement the transition services through the development and release management cycle.

Working with the business and application architects, as well as infrastructure services providers, you will input into the technology architecture decisions and designs. You will ensure services are managed in accordance with the agreed architecture and enforce standards where appropriate (e.g. ISO 27001) whilst maintaining a responsive production service.

You will also work closely with 3rd party suppliers to oversee services from them, feedback on their performance and ensure standards are met.
