Sanlam UK attained its size, strength and reputation by leveraging the benefits of having a large secure South African parent company while focusing on individual client service delivered locally in the UK.
                           
Based in our Newcastle office; we are currently looking for a Financial Planner to join Sanlam Wealth Planning team on a permanent basis.
 
The role
 
Help your existing and future clients over four distinct phases of their life; the creation of wealth, its maintenance, its growth, and its protection. You will consistently deliver the finest client experience, always keeping our clients at the centre of the process, and ultimately helping them achieve their financial objectives.
 

  • Develop long-term, in-depth relationships with new and existing clients

  • Provide individually tailored solutions, clearly communicated and implemented.

  • Acquire new clients through developing and delivering a business plan.

  • Proactive approach to business development including developing own introducer and professional connections network.

  • Effective communication with support staff and team colleagues

  • Keep up-to-date with new product, technical or legislative changes within the marketplace.

  • Maintain regulatory competence and KPI standards on an on-going basis, including meeting CPD requirements & maintaining an annual SPS.

  • Comply at all times with Sanlam policies and procedures and Regulatory requirements.

Skills and experience

  • A minimum of level four through an accredited body such as the CII or CISI

  • Studying towards level six, if not already achieved

  • A current Statement of Professional Standing

  • Ideally 2 years+ experience, demonstrated through the building of a client bank with a value of £5m+.

  • Strong knowledge of medical sector clients is highly desirable

  • Able to demonstrate attraction of new clients through business development
