Based in our offices in London – Monument, we are currently looking for a Financial Analyst to support the UK Group Commercial Finance team in delivering its objectives throughout the Sanlam UK business.
The individual will be responsible for constructing and assembling data for budgeting, forecasting and decision making including timely and accurate preparation of MI, reporting and investigating variances, assisting with budgeting and forecasting scenarios and development of complex financial reports and presentations.
Other key responsibilities in include ensuring financial control and performance of monthly management accounting reports through analysis and reporting on commercial finance and review of internal control programmes, recommending and implementing changes where appropriate.
The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with other teams, particularly in assisting with review of commercial legal agreements and regulatory compliance submissions as well as assisting the Commercial Finance team in assessing commercial viability of proposed acquisitions.
Skills and experience
Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate the following:
A solid experience within a finance team and preferably within financial services.
A strong foundation in Accounting and Commercial Finance.
Exposure to or understanding of Asset Management and Wealth Management
Proactive and dynamic individual, able to manage their own workload and use their initiative
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
Studying towards a relevant professional qualification (e.g. CFA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
