What's New

What's New?

September 2015

We are delighted to make you aware of some developments to our proposition.

New application forms

Firstly, as we strive to make ourselves easier to do business with, whilst also reducing our environmental footprint, we are making a change to our application forms.

From Monday 5th October all our application forms will only be available in a new print-friendly format. By print-friendly we mean a reduction to both the amount of colour used and also the length of the application forms. These new forms will take the place of the traditional hard copies that are issued from Sanlam's Head Office, and will be available on our website to print off, whenever, wherever you like.

This change in process will deliver a number of positive results:

  • Improved sustainability – achieved through reduced use of ink & paper, postage & document wastage.
  • Increased speed to market – whether the result of external factors such as changes to regulation, or internal factors such as propositional enhancements, approved updated versions will be available instantly, removing the traditional 4 week production timeframe.
  • Simpler stock management – no longer a requirement for a complex and time consuming process that involves co-ordinating stock levels across different product ranges to time print runs together.
  • Business acceptance – with the latest versions always available online, no more issues with applications being returned due to being submitted on an out of date application form.
  • Online apps – with an increasing trend for Portal applications being submitted via the online apps process, the demand for printed application forms is on the decline. As the Portal develops further in the future this trend is likely to continue.

Improved performance reporting

As well as improving our application forms, we are also pleased to announce that from October we will increase the frequency of reporting on our portfolio solutions. Instead of producing the factsheets quarterly, these will now be updated on a monthly basis and will be available mid-month, every month, from October onwards.
