Rob Jones

Wealth Planning Director

Upon leaving school I went on to complete a four year BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy at the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel. Realising my non practical talents were wasted, I gave up Physiotherapy and entered the financial services industry, joining forces with a Doctor who had recently set up a specialist team offering financial planning advice to the medical profession.

I joined English Mutual (now Sanlam) in 2008, setting up their London office, and hope I am known for high standards, broad and extensive knowledge, integrity and a robust good humour.

I tend to work closely with specialist lawyers and accountants in areas such as pensions in divorce, off shore structures, tax mitigation and non-correlated investment decisions.

I'm married to Catherine, have two children and live in London where I maintain my passions for rugby, tennis and good company.

Thank you for looking after me and my funds over all these years - since the early 1990’s I think!

You have enabled me to lead a retirement lifestyle I would not otherwise have achieved on my own, for which I am very grateful.

Rob has been looking after my financial affairs for several years and I have been delighted with the service I have received. He outlines options clearly and concisely and is quick at getting to the bottom line. I very much appreciate his ability to summarise key issues and make recommendations highlighting the relevant risk levels involved. Short face to face meetings from time to time are invaluable in reviewing how matters stand, hearing his recommendations and moving forward.

P Godfrey, London

For the past 10 years, I have entrusted Rob's services with my financial affairs, on the recommendation of a friend who had been one of his clients for a few years, and since then I have recommended him to other friends. I have nothing but praise for the service received. Rob explains situations in a very clear way, making it easy to understand and doesn't try to pull the wool over one's eyes. His understanding of his clients' need is spot on and he respects their wishes rather than try to push for other products which may yield some higher returns but with a greater risk involved. It's easy to make money in the good times but also, as demonstrated over the past couple of years, losses a lot in bad times. Rob's cautious approach and his choice of investments have yielded some excellent returns in the good times and minimised loses in the bad ones. Rob's flexibility in accommodating times for meetings is also greatly appreciated; nothing is ever too much for him.

Investing involves risk and the value of investments and the income from them may fall as well as rise and are not guaranteed. Investors may not get back the original amount invested.
