Wealth Planner

APFS, Chartered Financial Planner, Graduated Member of The Later Life Academy

Born & schooled in Birmingham I joined the financial services industry in 1983 with The Prudential, becoming their youngest qualified representative two years later at the age of 19.

In a career spanning over 31 years I have spent time working with Scottish Life & AXA before joining English Mutual in 2004 & becoming part of the Sanlam team in 2012.

Whilst I am a general practitioner qualified to Chartered level, I am a specialist in the fields of pensions, equity release, long term care, taxation & trusts & the provision of ongoing advice to the retired & elderly; for which I have also completed an accredited program with The Later Life Academy, as such I work closely with a large number of legal firms across the West Midlands.

I'm married to Lyn & have three teenage children, enjoy an active family life with my many interests including: rural walks, cooking, music, cars and vintage scooters.

After my husband passed away, I knew nothing about my finances; Edward helped me to sort things out and with his advice I was left in a positive position. In future, should I require any financial advice, Edward will be my first contact.

Doreen Palmer

I was referred to Ed by a colleague, Ed was happy to come to us and meet out of hours due to my busy schedule. In our first meeting Ed asked plenty of questions and gave plenty of advice, whilst managing to still keep everything light hearted but professional. Until he was happy we could afford to borrow the amounts we were considering he didn't even look at his computer. Ed's professionalism continued during this meeting as he discussed the various options and deals and finally recommended a package with my bank, even though he couldn't provide it. Not only did Ed find us a great deal he assisted every step of the way and went above and beyond to ensure we got the mortgage we needed. When it comes to re-mortgage time I'll be calling Ed.
