Employee Benefits Advice for Corporate Clients

Flexible and Voluntary Benefits

Not every employee benefit you choose to implement has to be compulsory. Employers can offer a range of flexible benefits that employees can mix and match to reflect their lifestyle.

Health Cash Plans

Health Cash Plans are a simple and affordable way to help people claim money back on the cost of everyday healthcare, such as dental treatment, eye tests, physiotherapy and much more.

They work particularly well for employers looking to reward and retain their staff with a useful health benefit that fits with their budget. In return for a monthly premium, your employees can claim money back towards the cost of check-ups and treatments, up to their annual limit.

Dental Plan

We all know that going to the dentist regularly is important, so problems are found and dealt with before they cause pain or need costly treatment. However the cost of such treatment is increasing and many employees leave it until there is a real emergency before addressing the problem.

Introducing a scheme allows employees to budget for the cost of treatment which allows them to take preventative rather than curative/emergency action.

Cycle to Work Scheme

Any size employer from any sector can partner with a Cycle Scheme. Eligible employees must receive salary via the PAYE system, and earnings should be more than the National Minimum Wage after salary exchange.

Salary exchange occurs when an employee agrees to give up part of their salary for an agreed period (in the case of the Cycle to Work scheme this is usually 12 or 18 months) in exchange for a non-cash benefit, such as the loan of a bicycle and safety equipment. As salary exchange is taken from the gross salary (before tax) rather than net pay it means the employee pays less income tax and National Insurance.

Childcare Vouchers

These days an increasing number of parents are forced to place children in costly personally funded childcare. Childcare vouchers to pay for this are one of the most popular ways for employers to support working parents. This helps to motivate the parents whilst creating a positive company image.

Childcare vouchers are a Government-supported scheme, designed to make childcare more affordable for working parents. Employers typically provide childcare vouchers through salary sacrifice, with employees receiving their vouchers instead of part of their salary.

Childcare vouchers are free from tax and National Insurance. So, when parents exchange part of their salary for childcare vouchers, they enjoy automatic savings in tax and National Insurance.

Lifestyle Rewards

Lifestyle Rewards is a fully branded employee and members’ benefits solution that provides access to a leading range of discounted lifestyle products and services. The scheme is designed to be easy to deploy, communicate and manage.

The primary purpose of a lifestyle reward scheme is to focus on improving the participants’ quality of life by maximising their disposable income.

The scheme typically provides both online and offline access to approximately 4,000 discounts and cash back offers on a wide range of products and services to suit all tastes. It can be used on every day shopping from grocers including Asda and Sainsbury’s to annual vacations.

Discounted Gym Membership

Companies are recognising that they need to turn their attention to the working environment and the lifestyles of their employees if they expect to see any improvement in sickness, absenteeism, staff retention and productivity.

In addition, individuals are becoming aware of the need to take responsibility for their own health and well-being hence the explosion in the number of gyms and health clubs throughout the UK.

It is now possible for you to give your employees access to a range of gym facilities at reduced rates whilst not being limited to one brand or chain of facilities.
