Hat-trick! Sanlam’s Global High Quality Fund wins at the City of London Wealth Management awards

Sanlam’s Global High Quality Fund has been named ‘Best Fund’ at this year’s City of London Wealth Management Awards (COLWMA). This is the second time the Fund has won at COLWMA and the third accolade achieved by the Fund in the past four weeks, having also won in the Investment Performance: High Growth Portfolio category at the Private Asset Management awards, and the Long Only Equity Fund – Long Term Performance award at the Investors Choice Awards.
The COLWMA recognise quality of service and investment excellence from wealth management companies. The awards are determined by a public vote and verified by an independent panel of judges, made-up by professionals from across the industry.
Sanlam’s Global High Quality Fund is managed by Head of Global Equities, Pieter Fourie, and aims to produce total returns in excess of the MCSI World Index over the medium to long-term.  It was ranked amongst the top three percent of global funds for the three-year period ending December 2017 based on Trustnet data for the international peer group. Since inception, the fund has beaten both the FTSE All-Share Index and the broader MSCI World Index.

Pieter Fourie also walked away with an individual award for “Outstanding Achievement” where he was commended for his passion for investment and commitment to his clients.

Commenting on the award, Pieter Fourie said: “For the fund to win three well-respected awards in four weeks is an incredible achievement and testament to the hard work and commitment of our global equity team. Our focus is to take high conviction positions in well-run, high-quality businesses, and to deliver portfolio growth for our clients. It is hugely rewarding to see this strategy – which is now in its tenth year – being voted for by our clients and recognised by industry peers.”
