Training & Development Manager (South Region)

Based either remotely or in Bristol/London


Based either from our Bristol or London office or field based, we are currently looking for a Training & Development Manager to join our team on a permanent basis. 

The Role
As a Training & Development Manager you will be responsible for maintaining the professional standards of our Financial Planners and Portfolio Managers in line with Company T&C scheme. Working closely with the T&C Supervisors, you will also take an active role in the development of our Financial Planners and Portfolio Manager’s competence, developing training programmes which will enhance quality standards and maintain excellence across the business. Additionally, you will be required to monitor KPI’s to map potential risk trends, deliver inductions to new joiners and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
Key to this role will be your proven ability to coach, develop and positively influence others. In return the role will allow you the autonomy to fulfil your responsibilities in a supportive and rewarding Financial Services environment.
Travel Requirements
This position will require regular travel between key Sanlam offices including London and Bristol.
Skills and Experience
Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate the following:

  • QCA Level 4 qualified (or equivalent) preferably with a recognised supervisory qualification (JO7)
  • Effective supervision skills within a T&C environment
  • Experience of identifying specific training needs and creating and delivering effective training solutions
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to forge credible relationships with all key stakeholders
  • Excellent knowledge of Industry available products and services
  • Clear understanding of current regulatory requirements impacting the quality of advice
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and deal with people in various contexts with skill & tact
  • Ability to analyse information with accuracy
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to prioritise whilst maintaining high standards of work
  • Ability to deal appropriately with confidential information
