Based in our offices in Kirkby Lonsdale, Cumbria; we are currently looking for a Trainee Portfolio Manager.
 
The role
 
Our Portfolio Managers manage, develop and maintain relationships with a wide range of High Net Worth clients across the North.
 
As our Trainee Portfolio Manager; you will have a fantastic opportunity to develop your career and learn from some of the very best in the industry.
 
Your role will be to assist our Portfolio Managers with efficient management of our client’s investments by reviewing client portfolios, preparing client meeting notes, writing investment proposals, assisting in writing valuation reports and responding to client questions.
 
The experience you gain in this role should assist you in studying for your CISI Level 4 qualification, manage your own clients and become an experienced Portfolio Manager.
 
This role would be perfect for a recent graduate in a related subject (i.e. Finance/Economics/Accounting) with a keen interest in Investments; or an individual with current, relevant experience at a similar organisation.
 
Skills and experience;
 
Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate the following:

  • Recent graduate or experience of working within an Investment Administration environment.
  • CISI level 4 Diploma in Investment Advice (or prepared to work towards).
  • A high level of numeracy.
  • The ability to work accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Strong communication skills
