Proposition Management Analyst

Based in our offices in Bristol, we are currently looking for a Proposition Management Analyst to join our fantastic team.
 
The role
 
To support our Head of Proposition Management, the key aspect of your role will be in the development of new and the maintenance of existing propositions relating to both tax wrapper products and associated investment solutions ensuring that they remain attractive, fit for purpose for our customers and is performing in line with expectations.
 
To do this you will need to effectively collate and analyse competitor information, investment performance and other operational metrics in order to generate regular reports for this business. You will then have the opportunity to make considered recommendations to our Head of Proposition Management on appropriate solutions.
 
This role will give you great exposure to all areas of our vertically integrated business i.e. all components of the value chain, from product development to financial planning and distribution to investment management and will increase your life and pensions and investment knowledge.
 
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially focused individual who wants to work in an agile environment where you will get great exposure within the business and really make a difference.
 
Given the nature of this role, the ideal person could come from a number of different environments   but is likely to favour those with an actuarial background e.g. part-qualified actuary or someone who has given up the actuarial exam route but has product development experience.
 
Skills and experience
 
Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate the following:
 
  • “A” Level Mathematics
  • Educated to Degree level
  • Part way through Institute and Faculty of Actuaries exams
  • May also suit someone who has given up the Actuarial exams
  • Excellent Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong report writing and verbal /numerical skills
  • Superb presentation and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and research skills with excellent attention to detail
  • A self-starter with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
  • Ability to work under own initiative
  • Ability to manage own workloads and work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Ability to interact with other teams including internal/external advisers, and 3rd party suppliers 
Candidates with experience of the following would be of particular interest:
  • Experience of working within a financial services environment
  • Life and pensions product development experience
  • Experience of Prophet, Visual Basic and SQL would be useful but not essential
  • Investment / actuarial experience preferred
  • Experience of managing external outsourcing relationships
