Interim Competency Supervisor

Based in either Bristol or London; we are currently looking for an Onboarding Competency Supervisor to support our Training and Competency Team with the onboarding of new Financial Planners and Portfolio Managers.
The Role
Our team ensures the professional competency of all our newly recruited Members, Financial Planners and Portfolio Managers through supervision, training and development to ensure they achieve full competent status.
As an Onboarding Competency Supervisor, your role will be to: -


  • Assist the Training & Development Manager with the on-boarding of new Financial Planners and Portfolio Managers, Partnerships
  • Organise and deliver the Orientation of Financial Planners and Portfolio Managers and Partnerships along with the Training and Development Manager and Training Officer
  • Closely supervise new Financial Planners, Portfolio Managers and Partnerships to measure competence
  • Provide coaching to new Financial Planners & Portfolio Managers, Partnerships to establish and deliver a smooth transition to competent adviser status
  • Encourage better business standards, enhancing good quality output and advice delivery
  • Manage on-boarding and leavers process with Self-Employed Financial Planners, working closely in conjunction with the Training & Development Manager and wider team to ensure effective and consistent delivery
  • Assist Head of Advice in any other projects which may be required
Key to this role will be your ability to prioritise and work independently.  In return, this role will broaden your existing Financial Services knowledge within a dedicated and dynamic team.
Skills and Experience
Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate the following:
  • QCA Level 4 qualified (or equivalent)
  • Clear understanding of current regulation and regulatory requirements
  • Good understanding of key industry issues
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and deal with people in various contexts with skill & tact
  • Ability to analyse information with accuracy
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work individually or as part of a team
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to prioritise own work to meet set deadlines whilst maintaining high standards of work
  • Ability to deal appropriately with confidential information
